Too often, I hear people say, “I would love to meditate, but I just can’t.”
I ask why, and they usually respond with something like…
“I can’t quiet my mind.”
“My mind can’t stop racing.”
“I just can’t sit still.”
To all the peeps out there who can relate to that conversation, I feel you and get you. I myself was one of them.
Here’s the truth. The ones who resist it most…are the ones who need it most.
I’ve also noticed that those of us who resist or struggle the most seem to have a very set picture of what meditation should look like.
In fact, there are numerous types of meditation. Just because you were exposed to a type that didn’t seem to resonate…doesn’t mean that you can’t meditate.
I BELIEVE YOU CAN!
I have two recommendations for you…
- LET GO of any idea or thought or picture of what meditation should look or feel like.
- LET GO of your previous experience with meditation.
